Semi Cassette Awnings
Want a little more protection for your Folding Arm Awnings? We recommend opting for our Semi Cassette Awnings. This particular option comes with a semi-enclosed extruded aluminium cassette that provides coverage and protection for the Awning fabric when retracted.
Semi Cassette Awnings can be motorised with a hardwired 240V motor for your ultimate convenience — at the touch of a button or the tap of a smartphone screen, you can extend or retract your Folding Arm Awnings for maximum protection against the sunshine.

Featuring a fully-enclosed extruded aluminium cassette, your Folding Arm Awnings will be completely protected against the elements when retracted. The compact cassette is sleek and contemporary, blending into the facade of your home or business perfectly.
Even better, this modern shade solution is still affordable for all home and business owners and can even be motorised for effortless adjustments and use.

Motorisation, Motion and Wind Sensors
All of our Fold Out Awnings can be motorised and operated with either a remote controller or smartphone. For extra peace of mind, however, we also recommend installing all of our Folding Arm Awnings with a Motion or Wind Sensor!
When the Folding Arm Awning starts moving up and down in the wind, the Motion Sensor will send a signal to the hardwired 240V motor to retract the Awning. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or away from home, there’s no need to panic about retracting the Awnings — the Motion Sensor will do it all for you.
The Motion Sensor’s sensitivity can also be adjusted if it’s retracting the Awning in gentle winds.
Adding a Motion Sensor to all of our Folding Arm Awnings is simple and affordable — contact us for more details!
Our Process
Step 1
The initial design consultation
You’re welcome to visit our showroom in Mayfield West, or we can organise a time to visit your location! Our team will analyse the space, take measurements, listen to your design ideas, and provide expert recommendations to ensure you receive the perfect shade solution for your needs.
We will also bring along fabric samples so that you can choose a colour and design that complements your home’s or business’s facade.
Step 2
A free measure & quote
During our initial design consultation, we will take detailed measurements so that we can provide an accurate, competitive quote. We never “guesstimate” when it comes to our pricing — we base our quotes on the product, the size of the space, the fabric and the motorisation options you choose.
This is a 100% free service, and there’s no pressure to make a purchase on the day! We will leave you with fabric samples and a quote to consider.
Step 3
Supply & installation
Once you have approved the finer details of your Folding Arm Awnings, we will send the designs off to be manufactured in one of our factories in Australia or Asia. When they return to our showroom in Mayfield West, we’ll be in touch to book the installation!
We offer long warranties on all of our products, so it’s important we complete the installation ourselves. We have the product knowledge required to secure your warranty and ensure your new investment functions as well as we promised it would.

FAQs about Folding Arm Awnings
Are they suitable for rain protection?
Folding Arm Awnings are not designed for rain protection. The build up of water on the fabric will put pressure on the arms underneath, risking the likelihood of damaging or destroying the system completely. Folding Arms are designed as a shade product only.
How much wind can they handle?
While Folding Arms are extremely robust and sturdy, wind can sometimes be it’s worst enemy. We recommend a maximum wind speed of 25-30km/hr, however to ensure safety of the product and its surroundings, always retract your Folding Arm Awning when you’re not using the space it’s protecting.
What is the difference between the 3 styles of Folding Arm Awnings available?
It’s all down to the cassette or protective hood cover. An Open Style Folding Arm doesn’t include any sort of cover, however there are options to add a cover to this style. The Semi Cassette includes a half cover which protects the fabric from the top and front, while a full cassette completely encloses the fabric and arms. Cassettes help to protect the fabric from wear and tear due to weather conditions while the awning is retracted (which will be most of the time) and also add a nice aesthetic or finish to the awning.
How are they installed?
This is all dependent on the space you’re wanting to have a Folding Arm installed to. They can be mounted on the face of a wall, under the eave, through the fascia (underneath the gutter) or on top of a roof. The most important thing is that there is a solid structure to fix the awning to as they are a heavy product.
